Statement On Considering The Impacts of Climate Change
As METR, we are aware of the environmental impacts of the activities we carry out and acknowledge that climate change presents potential risks and opportunities within the context of our organization.
We commit to considering the potential impacts of global climate change on our sustainability, operational continuity, information security, and stakeholders as part of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
In this context, we commit to:
- Identifying direct and indirect risks arising from climate change (such as energy outages, supply chain disruptions, and natural disasters) as part of the risk assessment process and integrating them into the risk management framework,
- Planning and implementing measures aimed at reducing the adverse impacts of our activities on the climate,
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy efficiency, resource conservation, and the reduction of our carbon footprint,
- Monitoring applicable national and international standards, legal requirements, and commitments related to climate change, and ensuring compliance where relevant.
This commitment is addressed within the scope of the ISMS and aims to ensure that the potential impacts of climate change on information security, business continuity, and operational risks are periodically assessed and managed.
