Mitsubishi Electric, the pioneer brand in the automation sector, presented its solutions for water and wastewater automation in "IVth International Water Congress: Water Management in Intelligent Cities" organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewage Authority (İZSU). Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Major Projects Business Development and Factory Automation Director Hüsnü Dökmeci, in the presentation titled "City Potable Water Energy Optimization Solution" informed about Aquatoria software which can control the entire system by integrating with the pump equipments developed by different producers.

In "IVth International Water Congress: Water Management in Intelligent Cities" organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Authority (İZSU) in İzmir between 2-4 November, the intelligent management of city water infrastructure was discussed. In the event where the current researches are transmitted by experts from domestic and foreign countries, Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Major Projects Business Development and Factory Automation Director Hüsnü Dökmeci presented "City Potable Water Energy Optimization Solution" and explained Mitsubishi Electric's water and wastewater automation technology.

Hüsnü Dökmeci mentioned that the rapid population growth and global warming face a serious problem especially in countries like Turkey where water problems are experienced and pointed out the difficulties in water supply "Priority of intelligent cities is the most efficient use of resources and water has the greatest priority among these resources."

Reliable solution partner in water and wastewater automation

Dökmeci stated that as Mitsubishi Electric, Turkey is an ambitious solution partner for water and wastewater automation projects in infrastructure investments and added that "The solutions we provide for water management in intelligent cities are primarily based on the control of the efficiency of pumps used in water resources. We have been working with water authorities and system integrators in many countries for many years on water and wastewater treatment plants, pump automation and correct use of pumps, water and electricity saving software and SCADA. In addition to our experience, we also have the expertise expected from a reliable partner and system supplier with reference to a wide range of wastewater treatment reference."

Aquatoria software can control the overall system

Dökmeci gave information about Aquatoria software which was developed specifically for water automation applications by Mitsubishi Electric, and stated that it is possible to control the overall system with this software which can be integrated into the pump equipment developed by different manufacturers. Dökmeci, pointing out the fact that the pump efficiency can be increased significantly, said that the adaptive system working with neural networks and fuzzy logic enabled the maximum level of saving by acting according to the situation. Dökmeci added that speed and savings were provided by the ability of the operators to intervene in the system with a single interface which is easy to understand.
