Bringing speed, flexibility and efficiency to factories with its Industry 4.0 compatible automation technologies, Mitsubishi Electric attracts attention from Turkish automotive industry. Underlying the fact that manufacturing processes in automotive factories must work full-time, without problems and in a precise manner, Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Deputy General Manager Nurettin Geçgel stated that, they contribute to manufacturing capacity and help increase business volume with advanced robotics systems that allow for high speed and high quality manufacturing. Stating that they provide great advantages to factories in terms of occupational safety and employee health especially in difficult and dangerous works thanks to robots with a level of precision close to that of human arm and hand; Geçgel said Mitsubishi Electric technology that can perform business order management, work station management, stock monitoring, equipment flow and data collection works allows manufacturing in a structure close to artifical intelligence. Stating that they provide integration of manufacturing, maintenance, IT and management departments with Mitsubishi Electric's digital factory concept e-F@ctory, Geçgel drew emphasis to the fact that they are leading in pick to light systems that are vital for automotive industry and forklift automation.

Incorporating the smart factories of Industry 4.0 era with rapid integration, productivity, flexibility and efficiency, Mitsubishi Electric adds value to Turkish industry with its factory automation systems which helps greatly at each phase of manufacturing. Drawing attention from automotive industry one of the industries that perform digital transformation the fastest, Mitsubishi Electric can provide services to all units in departments an automotive factory such as press, welding, painting and assembly. Stating that they provide automotive industry with products that can directly communicate with PLCs, frequency inverters, servos, operator panels, various SCADA softwares and MES systems (Manufacturing Execution System) and products make up MES systems, Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Factory Automation Systems Deputy General Manager Nurettin Geçgel informed us about the brand's studies in such fields.

Long-lasting products and deep-rooted engineering experience

Stating that they conduct all their studies at Mitsubishi Electric within the phisolophy of quality, problem-free and constant development, Nurettin Geçgel continued; "We are an important manufacturer that can design and manufacture its own products globally. We use the products we pass through one hundred percent quality control tests and manufacture in our own factories and constantly improve them. The fact that our products' designed lifetime is so long creates an important support beam against unexpected stops to manufacturing. Thus, Mitsubishi Electric products are preferred by Turkey's leading automotive manufacturers, just like by others all around the world. Additionally, accumulated knowledge of over 25 years of the team in Mitsubishi Electric Turkey and their experience also provides a big advantage. All manufacturers that cooperate with us enjoy the comfort of the trust and solutions provided by our engineering power."

Manufactury with artificial intelligence

Stating that Mitsubishi Electric technology which is able to perform business order management, work station management, stock monitoring, equipment flow and data collection works with the help of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems allows manufacturing in a structure close to artifical intelligence, Geçgel continued, "We collect and manage data of all processes from the start of vehicle manufacturing until the final sale, including production line automation."

Robots enhance safety, production quality and business volume

Stating that the dense competitive environment in automotive industry makes it a must for factories to have full time, problem-free and precise manufacturing process, Geçgel said; "Possible stoppages can cause serious financial and reputational losses to automotive manufacturers. At this point, aspects such as right product, service and system solutions within manufacturing process become even more important. Carrying major importance with the speed and convenience they provide to factories during such critical manufacturing processes, robots are commonly used in automotive factories. As Mitsubishi Electric, we provide added value to factories in terms of occupational safety and employee health especially in difficult and dangerous works thanks to our robots that can do almost any job at the manufacturing line with a level of precision close to that of a human arm and hand. Thanks to problem-free and fast manufacturing, we contribute to both quality standards and manufacturing capacity and business volume."

Leader in pick to light systems and forklift automation

Stating that e-F@ctory, Mitsubishi Electric's answer to Industry 4.0; advanced technology robotics systems that can communicate with each other and MES products are the leading products and systems for the automation of automotive factories, Geçgel said "One of our strongest points in terms of automotive automation are pick to light systems. As Mitsubishi Electric, we developed the pick to light system in Turkey, which helps collection processes. These systems have been working in the factories of our customers for over 5 years."

Stating that forklift automation is another project realized by Mitsubishi Electric in Turkey, Geçgel described this service with an example; "In welding factory, when parts go low in numbers in a workstation, a business order can be sent to the screens of tens of forklift operators with the press of a button. Available forklift operator receives business order, picks up equipment from storage yard and drops them where they are needed. Meanwhile, our automation system can manage numerous details such as the number of materials used and processed, workflow throughout the day, time between the business order and completion of the order, which forklift carried how many materials. Working on a wireless structure, operator panels, PLCs and softwares build up the infrastructure of this automation system. Thanks to the global network we have, we provide products with advanced technology alongside serious engineering solutions as a brand that can provide unique solutions in engineering field."

Production, maintenance, IT and management departments become integrated

Stating that Mitsubishi Electric will have new solutions that can provide productivity and quality to the industry, Nurettin Geçgel said; "We have completed a big portion of our infrastructure studies regarding the subject. Infrastructure of this structure is generally based on e-F@ctory concept. Its goal is to manage a system from highest to lowest level and to move data from lowest to highest point. This way, while managing the whole system, it will be possible to make more analysis and determine any fault more easily. In this direction, users will be able to determine which parts in production, maintenance, IT and management departments' systems they need to make improvements. In this system, with which we plan to fix communication problems between units in factories, we are aiming to shape all departments in a way where they can communicate with each other and provide reports related to them. Because while a manufacturer in a factory only needs data related to production data, a maintenance worker will care more about what areas need improvements, while management wants to see how efficient this work is and how it is performed. With this concept which will enable us to answer all those requests with ease, communication between all units will become more effective and they'll be able to improve each other with feedbacks."
