Mitsubishi Electric continued the webinars with Izmir Branch of EMO organized in cooperation with TMMOB Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO). In the webinars, held under the concept of "Age of Digital Factories", Mitsubishi Electric shared with participants the technological developments in Smart Factories focusing on Advanced Robot Technologies, MAPS-SCADA and Energy Monitoring, AI Applications, IoT and Digital Transformation of Factories.

Carrying out important investments and activities in the digital transformation as an ambitious solution partner for the Turkish industrialists and infrastructure projects, Mitsubishi Electric continued the online events with the Izmir Branch of TMMOB Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) during the pandemic.

Customized collaborative robots

Advanced Robot Technologies is discussed in the first of the webinar held under the concept of "Age of Digital Factories". Mr. Necmi Ömerdedeoğlu, Team Manager of Robot Products Management of Factory Automation Systems said "Mitsubishi Electric maintains its pioneering leadership in industrial area also in robotics field since 1980. Collaborative robots of our brand can work precisely and fast just like industrial robots. They can answer to both customized features and ever-changing production and consumption trends." On the other hand, underlining that not only robot but also the environment it works in must be collaborative, Mr. Ömerdedeoğlu noted that Mitsubishi Electric is able to answer the most demanding expectations of the producers.

Technology improving the energy efficiency

In the second webinar, Ms. Burcu Çöpür, MAPS Production Management Executive of Production Management and Marketing Department of Factory Automation Systems explained the MAPS SCADA and Energy Monitoring system. Giving insights about capabilities of MAPS SCADA, a proprietary solution of Mitsubishi Electric and the brand in the field of energy monitoring, one of the most important areas of present day, Ms. Çöpür said "SCADA which is called as the Data Collection and Control Center has functionalities such as centralized monitoring, controlling, reporting and analyzing of the system, and instant response to the failures. MAPS's alarm function facilitates detection of the source which triggered the alarm, and how frequent such alarm is triggered. Thus, great energy savings and significant improvements in the efficiency are achieved. In addition to the solutions on the part of SCADA, MAPS is also capable of analysis such as production monitoring, energy management and performance management."

Answer of Mitsubishi Electric to Industry 4.0: Digital factory concept e-F@ctory

Webinar ended with the presentation "AI Applications-Internet of Things, Smart Factories during Digital Transformation of Factories" of Mr. Tolga Bizel, Product Management and Marketing Unit Manager of Factory Automation Systems. In his presentation, Mr. Bizel said "e-F@ctory, Mitsubishi Electric's digital factory concept and answer to Industry 4.0, enables producers to enjoy great advantages in the face of global competition." "Our technological solutions offer Turkish industry the opportunity to build today the digital factories of tomorrow. Today, thanks to e-F@ctory backbone, robots are able to communicate with other products in the production line. They are ready to boost productivity by exchanging data between themselves as well as factory's main control system without requiring human intervention.
